Have your say on timetable changes

Our chairman (Ian East), who is also on the FGW customer panel, is meeting with FGW next Thursday (14 Jan 2010) and has the chance to talk about the new Bicester Link timetable and put forward possible changes. It would be great to get your input on this, so please vote on the top issues using our poll on the right hand side of the main homepage. Alternatively it would be great to hear your general comments on these or other issues – to do this use the “Leave a reply” section at the foot of this post.

Also, for reference, please click here for a version of the Dec 2009 Bicester-Oxford timetable in Microsoft Word format.

Please can some serious consideration be given to offer train times that would be credible commuter times. It would be fantastic if trains were running that meant local residents could rely on getting to Oxford at 7 / 8 / 9 am and know that they could leave the office at 4 / 5 / 6 pm and be able to catch a train without a considerable wait at the station. This service would then be a really credible benefit.

Personally the times of the trains do not concern me too much as I can work around them. However, it would be far more beneficial to have an hourly service between 06.30 and 09.30 and again between 16.30 and 18.30 rather than the sporadic times at present.

I would love to see a better scheduled train for commuters to return home at the end of the working day. The current option of 17.54 is too late and the previous one at 16.30 is too early – something in between would be a great asset.

  4. Paolo says:

The 7.57 and 17.54 are perfect timings for me personally as my working hours are 8.30 to 17.30. However a train in between the 6.23 and 7.57 would be useful, say a 7.15 / 7.30 to get in to Oxford at around 8.00am.
