On April 12th, TfL published their conclusions to last Autumn’s Central London Bus Services Review Consultaion.
The main aspect of the consultation that affects Chiltern Railways customers related to the proposal to re-route the 205 / N205 bus services, so that the 205 / N205 buses no longer serve the bus stops immediately outside the front of Marylebone station.
The results of the consultation may be found here:
In summary, TfL have confirmed that route changes proposed for routes 205 & N205 will be implemented as proposed in the consultation. The proposed implementation date is 15th June 2019.
Andrew Adonis’ throwaway comments underline how vulnerable the existing Islip service might become in future:
OBRAG believes that Islip station is an important economic and social infrastructure asset that could and should be optimally used via a maintained or ideally enhanced timetable for Islip. This helps to take pressure away from the facilities at Parkway by allowing Islip residents and others to commute directly from Islip.
Adonis is as wrong as Beeching was!
Chiltern Railways will be introducing a new timetable on May 21st 2018.
