Chiltern Railways will continue to use 165s on the Oxford-Bicester shuttles

I confirm that CR will require all their 168s to be used on the Main Line Birmingham services.

168s to Oxford are pencilled in to be used if and when the direct route from MYB to Oxford is constructed.

unless chiltern are planning on extending the platforms at islip and maybe bicester in the mean time then a class 168 which are in 3 or 4 coach fromations will not fit on the platform hence why the service is formed off 2 coach class 165 as the platfrom at islip can not accomadate no more then 2 coaches and bicester town can just about accomadate a 3 coach train.

Apparently the plan is to use 168s to Oxford, apart from possibly the early and late services.

Pity there's no proposed improvement to the weekday 7:57am service - and it'll probably still arrive late.
